My day starts by checking my inbox for new submissions. I review each one carefully, looking for potential in the writing and the story. If a manuscript catches my eye, I'll request the full document and begin reading it in detail. Once I've decided to take on a project, the real work begins. I'll work with the author to refine their writing, making suggestions for everything from plot development to character arcs. We'll go through multiple rounds of revisions until the manuscript is polished and ready for publication. I also work closely with other publishing professionals, like designers and marketers, to ensure that the finished product is both aesthetically pleasing and commercially viable. It's a team effort, and I love being a part of it. Being an editor is a challenging job, but it's also incredibly rewarding.
